Jordan Aviation was founded in 2000 and its operations were initiated in October 2000. It is the first privately owned charter airline. It is registered as one of the official carriers of the United Nations Peacekeeping forces worldwide. Based in Amman, Jordan Aviation is an air carrier that operates scheduled regional flights, particularly, in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa.

It also provides wet lease services to major airlines seeking additional capacity. Its main bases are Marka Airport, Amman and Aqaba Airport. Holiday charter flights are also operated from its bases in Amman. Scheduled services commencing in June 2006 were operated for a period of time from Aqaba to the Arabian Gulf region and North Africa. Jordan Aviation: approx 700 staff members.

MRO Asia, Singapore, Jordan Aviation selected Pratt & Whitney GlobalService Partners (GSP) for a three-year Engine Management Program agreement. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

Through the agreement, Pratt & Whitney GSP will use its web-based Advanced Diagnostics & Engine Management (ADEMTM) tools to provide engine performance monitoring services.

Pratt & Whitney’s team of skilled engine performance analysts also will analyze the data to forecast engine health and maintenance for Jordan Aviation. "The Pratt & Whitney Engine Management Program offers tools and provides expert analysis of data to help us optimize our engine maintenance schedule," said Jordan Aviation Chairman and President Deputy Zuhair Al-Khashman. "This proactive solution will reduce our maintenance costs and help us maintain reliable services for our customers."

"We are pleased that Jordan Aviation selected Pratt & Whitney for this service," said Andrew Tanner, vice president, Pratt & Whitney Product Line Management. "Engine Management Programs monitor and analyze engine performance to identify opportunities that reduce operational costs and improve reliability."
Jordan Aviation, a member of the Arab Air Carriers organization, is based in Amman, Jordan. The airline operates scheduled and worldwide charter services flights, mainly to the Middle East, Europe and Africa. It also provides wet lease services to major airlines seeking additional capacity. Jordan Aviation has recently moved its operation to its new hangars in Queen Alia Airport in order to develop heavy airframe maintenance capability and obtain 145 approvals.
